🔍 How We Choose Products
Our process for picking what makes it into a roundup — and what disqualifies a product outright.
We don’t get samples from brands, and commissions never decide which products we recommend. Here’s what actually goes into a product roundup or comparison on this site.
What we look at
- Specific, checkable claims. Certifications (see our certification cheat sheet), material composition, and published specs — not marketing language.
- Real trade-offs. Every product we feature gets at least one honest “con.” If we can’t find one, we look harder.
- Practical fit. Price, durability, and day-to-day usability matter as much as the material story.
What disqualifies a product
- Vague “toxin-free” or “chemical-free” claims with nothing specific behind them.
- Health or medical claims of any kind — we’re a lifestyle and product-research site, not a health site.
- Anything vaccine-related, in any direction.
Affiliate links
Every product link on this site is an Amazon Associates link, and every article that includes one shows our affiliate disclosure. The commission structure doesn’t change which products we choose or how we describe them.
